Carroll’s Featured Civil Engineering Projects
Bucks County Justice Center
Client: County of Bucks, Doylestown Borough, Bucks County, PA
CEC served as the site engineer of record on the project and assisted an architectural firm in designing the courthouse building as well as most of the on-site and off-site improvements. The site work included the design of a 200 space surface parking lot, demolition of the existing parking garage, design of retaining walls, stormwater management, landscaping, and utilities to serve the new courthouse. CEC also provided Land Development services and assisted the County in obtaining Land Development Approval for the project from Doylestown Borough.
William Tennent High School
Client: Centennial School District, Warminster Township, Bucks County, PA
Centennial School District hired an architect, who in turn enlisted CEC to perform all site-related engineering. CEC’s portion of the project involved reconfiguring parking lots and driveways throughout the site, relocating tennis courts, designing stormwater management facilities, pursuing Land Development approval from Warminster Township, and obtaining a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit through the Bucks County Conservation District.
Storm Sewer Conditions Assessment – Flooding Study
Client: Burlington County Bridge Commission, Burlington County, NJ
CEC was brought on by the Burlington County Bridge Commission to help determine the cause of road flooding at the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge Toll Plaza in the Borough of Palmyra. After conducting exhaustive research and site surveying of the storm sewer system and watershed, CEC prepared a detailed report, complete with comprehensive recommendations to upgrade the storm sewer system to reduce roadway flooding.
