Carroll’s Featured Wastewater Engineering Projects

Whitemarsh Water Pollution Control Center
Location: Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County, PA

Multiple projects have been completed including upgrading the treatment plant’s hydraulic capacity; improving the trickling filter performance; improving plant controls; provide new offices for the Authority, and adding new sludge dewatering facilities.

Park Creek Sewage Treatment Plant
Location: Horsham Township, Montgomery County, PA

The treatment plant expansion project provided for advanced biological nutrient removal (nitrogen and phosphorus).Carroll Engineering design was based on the A2O process which continues to provide consistent and reliable biological nutrient removal. The announced closure of the Willow Grove Naval Air Station which is wholly located within the Township boundary had resulted in significant changes in the Township’s sanitary sewer planning. Carroll Engineering was engaged in the design of another expansion of the facility which included new aeration tankage, clarifier, digester modifications, flow equalization, and sludge dewatering facilities. In addition, Carroll Engineering obtained all necessary land development approvals associated with the project.
