Surveying 

Carroll Engineering’s Surveying Department provides an array of professional surveying services, including topographic and boundary surveys; ALTA/NSPS (American Land Title Association/National Society of Professional Surveyors) land title surveys, construction stakeout including site improvements; utilities, curb, basins; as well as house-line items such as to permit plans, foundation, and final as-constructed plans. Our services include site improvement As-Built surveys such as utility and basin as-constructed and easement and right-of-way acquisition plans. Consisting of licensed surveyors and experienced field crew technicians, the department utilizes state-of-the-art equipment that includes total station robotic equipment, global positioning systems, 3D Laser Scanning, and an unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) to complete surveying projects with precision.

Carroll’s Featured Surveying Projects

Riverview At New Bridge Landing
Location: Borough of River Edge, Bergen County, NJ

CEC was contracted to issue an “As-Built Survey” with impervious coverage computation and an ADA compliance study for an apartment complex in the Borough of River Edge. Bergen County has one of the strictest review processes in the state of NJ. Nothing on the market can rival the accuracy and efficiency of point cloud data from a terrestrial 3-D Laser Scan. 3 days of conventional surveying was replaced with 1 day of laser scanning, without the need for return site visits and the possible misinterpretation of conventional survey methods.

West Chester University of Pennsylvania
Location: West Chester, Chester County, PA

Carroll Engineering Corporation served as the civil engineer and land surveyor for a new 180,000 square foot parking lot. The project’s area needs to accommodate approximately 557 automobiles together with pedestrian and vehicular traffic. The project’s responsibilities included bidding and construction management support along with permitting and construction administration.
