“For the past 15 years, Tom Wilkes has been an invaluable asset to the Town of Cheswold, serving as a mentor to our Planning Commission and support to our Public Works Department, along with developing a friendship with our Town Administrator.
He has brought his education, knowledge, experience and professionalism to a wide range of important projects, including but not exclusive to the move, design and opening of our current Town Hall; the delivery of a Town approved water and fire hydrant system to an aged portion of the Town; attendance and participation in monthly Planning Commission meetings; completion of the 5 and10 year State of Delaware Comprehensive Plan designed to document the future of our Town; on-going reviews of land development and usage plans and the design and development of plans for our future Municipal Services Building.
Tom’s steady presence and reliable insight have been constants in a time of growth and change for Cheswold. And what stands out most about Tom is his ability to translate complex engineering challenges into clear, actionable plans that our team can understand and support. His commitment to our town’s development and his hands-on approach with every project, large or small, has resulted in an improved efficient and effective outcome in how we serve our residents.
We’re grateful for Tom’s dedication and the positive impact his work has had on Cheswold. It’s been a pleasure to have him as part of our town’s journey, and we look forward to continuing this partnership for many years to come.”
