Carroll Engineering Corporation, a leader in civil engineering and surveying, is seeking a dedicated Survey Instrument Person to join our field operations team. Based out of our Warrington, PA office, you’ll play a crucial role in executing a variety of surveys and construction staking projects under the expert guidance of our Party Chief. This position is perfect for those who love working outdoors and are eager to contribute to the precise mapping and development of our communities.
Role Overview:
As a Survey Instrument Person, you’ll be instrumental in assisting the Party Chief with all aspects of field surveys, from preliminary data collection to the final staking of engineering designs. Your work will directly contribute to the success of our projects across southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in various surveying tasks, including utilizing level rods, prism poles, or tapes to determine precise locations and elevations.
- Engage in construction staking for accurate implementation of engineering designs.
- Clear brush and trees to ensure unobstructed lines of survey.
- Manage and maintain survey equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are well-stocked, clean, and organized.
- Execute tasks and instructions provided by the Party Chief to ensure project success.
What We’re Looking For:
- Enthusiasm for working outdoors, sometimes under extended hours.
- Willingness to travel across southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
- A valid driver’s license and familiarity with GPS and data collection technologies.
- A team player who is eager to learn and grow within the surveying field.
