The employees at CEC participated once again in the “Jeans for a Cause” fundraiser, which began in 2007, and again raised money this year to help a local family have a merrier holiday season. CEC employees donated $5 to wear jeans on the first Friday of month throughout the first ten months of the year, and then every Friday in November and December. CEC works closely with local school districts in determining who would benefit from the funds the most. This year with the money raised, two families in need will be able to enjoy the holiday a little better.
CEC also participated in the U.S Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program with employees donating toys for area children. This program is run by volunteers who dedicate their spare time to insure that every child in our area has a memorable Christmas. This local campaign has grown over the years to include more than 325 businesses and 2 dozen volunteers, serving 90% of Bucks County and surrounding areas.
The company holiday party was held on the Spirit of Philadelphia this year with a night of eating and dancing while cruising the Delaware River.
Next up was the annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest and Secret Santa Pizza Party. Interested employees competed in the sweater contest and exchanged gifts while having lunch. The winner of the Ugly Christmas Sweater was Jen Williams from our Accounting Department.
