CEC attended the Greater Valley Forge (GVF) Advancing Mobility Summit November 5th in King of Prussia. This event brought together top local and state officials, private and public sector organizations, and leaders in the transportation industry to speak on various transportation topics, including relevant approaches in transportation demand management (TDM) strategies, technology, infrastructure and more.
Speakers included Ken McClain (PennDOT District 6-0), Jeff Knuepple (Septa), Kenneth E. Lawrence, Jr. (Montgomery County Commissioner), Michelle Kichline (Chester County Commissioner), and Barry Seymore (Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission).
Specific topics discussed included roundabouts and PennDOT District 6-0’s desire to use roundabouts as safety and capacity solutions in lieu of signalized intersections, as well as Septa’s regional outlook and plans for new connections (including service to King of Prussia).
