Survey Field Personnel – Junior Party Chief/Instrument Operator


Position Type: Full Time

Department: Warrington, PA Office – Survey Department

Requirements:  High School Diploma or equivalent. Must possess a valid driver’s license, and, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Strong mathematical background and/or survey experience required.

Position Description: This individual will operate as a part of a two-person survey field crew, and, complete the tasks assigned to the field crew. This individual will assist in all aspects of surveying, and, will work almost exclusively outside the office. Responsibilities include operating the following instruments and measuring devices: total stations, electronic data collectors, GPS, automatic levels, and other standard survey equipment to collect field data. Responsibilities also include maintaining the vehicle assigned to the individual in a clean, safe and professional manner. Must be willing to work in all weather conditions, and, be available to work overtime, as needed.

Construction Inspector – Montgomery and Chester Counties


Position Type: Part Time – Immediate Opening

Department: Malvern, PA Office – Construction Observation

Requirements: Education Level: High School Graduate; 2+ years’ inspection experience, NICET (preferred); Candidates with supervisory and/or journeyman experience in the construction trades will also be considered.

Position Description: Part time position in Construction Observation Department working from Carroll’s Malvern Office. Responsibilities include inspection of municipal projects which include roadways, curbs, sidewalk, storm sewer, detention basins, soil and erosion control measures, water mains, sanitary sewers, and pump stations.

Key Responsibilities: Monitoring and documentation of daily construction activity, equipment and manpower; verification of conformance of materials and equipment with approved shop drawing submittals; oversight of contractor startup and testing activities; monitoring of work performance and documentation of variances from established schedules; evaluation of contractor payment requests; and, maintenance of changes to record documents and assistance with the preparation of “as built” drawings.
