Department: Warrington, PA Office

Position Description:  Responsible for facilitating surveys in the field under the guidance of the Party Chief.  The primary role is assisting the Party Chief in completion of all surveys and construction staking of engineering designs.

Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors with occasional extended hours
• Willing to work across southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey
• Valid drivers license
• Familiarity with GPS and data collection

Responsibilities:

• Utilize level rod, prism pole or tape at designated points to assist in determining location and elevations of various features
• Lay out stakes for map-making, construction land and other surveys
• Cut and clear brush and trees from line of survey with machete, brush hook or chain saw
• Carry instruments, field equipment, hammers, stakes, nails, etc.
• Keep survey crew vehicle supplied with equipment; clean and organize vehicle
• Carry out instructions and tasks assigned by Party Chief

Department: Construction Observation

Requirements: Education Level: High School Graduate; 2+ years’ inspection experience, NICET (preferred); Candidates with supervisory and/or journeyman experience in the construction trades will also be considered.

Position Description: Full time and part time positions available in the Construction Observation Department working from Carroll’s Malvern Office. Responsibilities include inspection of municipal projects which include roadways, curbs, sidewalk, storm sewer, detention basins, soil and erosion control measures, water mains, sanitary sewers, and pump stations.

Key Responsibilities: Monitoring and documentation of daily construction activity, equipment and manpower; verification of conformance of materials and equipment with approved shop drawing submittals; oversight of contractor startup and testing activities; monitoring of work performance and documentation of variances from established schedules; evaluation of contractor payment requests; and, maintenance of changes to record documents and assistance with the preparation of “as built” drawings.

Position Description: Part time position available in the Construction Observation Department working in Bucks, Montgomery, Chester and Northampton counties in Pennsylvania. Requirements: : Minimum 5 years experience in Land Surveying. Candidates with proficiency in operating field instruments and working independently.

Position Description:Responsibilities include the ability to perform boundary and topographic surveys. Applicant must be familiar with construction survey and construction plans and RW maps. Project engineering design for stormwater and detention basin, and infrastructure rehabilitation, preparation of E&S adequacy, general permits, and N.P.D.E.S. permits for submission to conservation districts and D.E.P.

MS4 programs including the preparation of information materials, illicit discharge inspections, annual reporting, etc.

Must have prior experience with municipal account management in either a primary or backup role.
