On September 26th, at the Watchung Valley Golf Club, Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity (RVHFH) held its annual “Dream Builders’ Gala”. Among the honorees were Carroll Engineering and Tom Fik, PE, CME, LEED AP, of our Hillsborough NJ office. Tom has been involved with RVHFH for over 24 years providing engineering and consulting services to help find and develop land to build affordable homes. In addition to being an engineer that serves RVHFH, he also serves on the Board of Directors.
Meg E. Helms, President of the Board of Directors stated, “We are so fortunate that Tom Fik has been a stalwart, long-term volunteer for over 24 years, 7 of those years on the Board. Tom is an excellent Board member, contributing in many ways to our strong team. Together with his firm, Carroll Engineering, they have worked on almost half of the homes we have built in the past 28 years. We are so grateful for their important, excellent, support, and look forward to many more years working with them in partnership.”
“It’s been both an honor and privilege to work with so many amazing people dedicated to building homes for deserving families over the years. I am very proud to be an engineer and serve on the Board of Directors. Seeing a family receive the keys to a brand new home is a wonderful experience and a highlight of my career,” said Tom.
