Carroll Engineering Corporation (CEC) was the major event sponsor for the Central Bucks Chamber’s Excellence in Design Seminar and Tour. CEC has been the proud sponsor of this annual event since 2012.
The theme of this year’s seminar and tour was on the “Tradesmen’s Tour: Alley’s and Back Streets of Doylestown”, The Chamber’s Architectural and Environmental Committee hosted a seminar about Doylestown Borough on September 12th at the Heritage Conservancy’s Aldie Mansion. The attendees participated in a discussion about the history and importance of Doylestown’s alleys, cut-throughs and back streets.
The docent-guided walking tour was on Sunday, September 15th. The tour took the guests on seldom seen back streets which in years past were only seen by tradesmen and domestic employees. The Bucks County Civil War Museum is also opened its doors so tour goers could view their collection. A reception was held after the tour for the guests to join homeowners and committee members.
CEC looks forward every year to sponsoring and taking part in this event as it showcases the distinct architecture and picturesque landscape that make Bucks County an enticing place to work and live.
