Structural Engineer – Project Manager – Job Overview
Carroll Engineering Corporation is hiring a Structural Engineer – Project Manager in Warrington, PA! If you have experience leading structural projects, this role will allow you to manage designs, oversee teams, and work directly with clients.
As a Project Manager, you will handle all aspects of project planning, design, permitting, and execution, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations while delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Requirements
Education & Certification:
- B.S. in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent
- PA Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required (NJ P.E. preferred)
Experience & Technical Skills:
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience (buildings, bridges, retaining walls)
- Experience working with architects, local agencies, and state agencies
- Experience working on PennDOT or Turnpike projects is highly preferred
- Proficiency in structural design software, including PennDOT programs
- Learn more about PennDOT bridge design standards and how they apply to bridge and infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred)
- Progressive experience working directly with clients and managing all aspects of projects
- Excellent communication, project management, and client relation skills
- Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for understanding and adhering to contractual requirements
Responsibilities
Structural Design & Analysis:
- As a Structural Engineer – Project Manager, you will oversee structural designs and manage project execution
- Design and analyze existing and proposed structures, including buildings, bridges, culverts, and infrastructure
- Work with architects to provide building/structural engineering services
- Utilize structural design software, including PennDOT programs
Project Management & Client Relations:
- Securing, planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of local, county, and state bridge projects, including permits
- Building and bridge inspections
- Draft and prepare effective and efficient project proposals.
- Provide construction support services, such as contract administration, permitting, and budget management
- Understanding of project financials and reporting; maintaining compliance with project budgets
Leadership & Business Development:
- Assist Senior Management with managing and growing the Corporate Structural Engineering Discipline
- Transition to developing, managing, and mentoring a staff of Structural Engineers and Structural Designers with financial objectives, including utilization, profit, and overhead
- Participate in local civic and professional organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, ASCE, and NSPE to promote Carroll Engineering
- Assist Senior Management with retention and development of Client relationships
